Journal/Notes...
Kathy...
Got both feet stomped on, and was partnered with a female who didn't pull her punches and Kathy got violent. The other chick ended up sitting out the next spar. This was also just after the instructor had given a speech to play nice with the newbies and this chick had been in the class before and was NOT a newbie. Katie also got a bruised knee, and was a Very good sport about holding up the big pads when the BIG mean men were kicking her back a foot and a half to two feet backwards while kicking the pad to demonstrate their manly prowess.
Teddy... Got partnered with an ape who was a foot taller and 50 pounds bigger and it was right after the instructor gave a speech about NOT hitting to the face - dude hit Teddy in the nose, then 3 more times in the face after being told she was NEW to this. Then when Teddy went to kick he grabbed her leg, yanked, then hit several times - all while not pulling punches. Teddy got satisfaction by getting MUCH better at sparring with him after that and landing a really good round house to his cup area.
