Pee Wee's Big Adventure
In a recent interview with the Calgary Sun, actor Paul Reubens announced that after almost a decade of silence, it was once again time to reincarnate his most memorable creation, the squeeky-voiced Pee-wee Herman.
Reubens, once considered the most popular children's TV star in America, experienced a swift decline in his career in 1990 when he was arrested for indecent exposure at an adult cinema. Claiming that extreme exhaustion forced him to leave the popular Saturday morning show, "Pee Wee's "Playhouse, " the lanky actor said his arrest, and subsequent conviction, had nothing to do with his decade-long disappearance.
Reubens, currently appearing in the Johnny Depp vehicle "Blow" and soon to be seen in an episode of "Ally McBeal," said that the upcoming incarnation of Pee-wee will, however, be limited to big-screen movies, the first of which, "The Pee-wee Herman Story," is already written and ready to begin filming.
