This page is about friendship - and my experience of it. What friendship has meant to me; what it will mean; what I'd like it to be; etc. To all my friends, past and present, thanks for stopping through.

The week of July 8, 1972 bought Lean On Me into the top 5 on the charts. Lean on me has been inspirational to me throughout my life and has been the Foundation of how I like to treat the friends I have.
Welcome - to my little peice of Friendship on the Web.

Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you don't let show

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me

So just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'd understand
We all need somebody to lean on

Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Lean on me…

Brian Adams sang right to my heart when he poured out "Everything I Do." That's what I do if I can.

When Bette Midler sang "Wind Beneath My Wing" I have to admit it hit home to me, for the few friends that I have had are, truly, the wind beneath my wings.

You wouldn't think Chumbawamba would have a place on this page would you? But they sure snagged a spot when I listened to the poppin' music and words of "Tub Thumpin." 8)

Robert Frost tears my heart to peices with his ever-popular poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay..." Here's the excerpt that just flounders me. It's a little like friendship... I have yet to see one that has lasted.

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

I think, to be a truly good friend, one has to view a friend from their shoes - and that is unfortunately rare. So Everlast's "What It's Like" has to be here...
